Save a Life, Foster A Dog
Waifs And Strays Dog Rescue is set up as a non profit making organisation. The objectives of this Association are: to take in and re-home unwanted dogs; to provide a special living environment; to help them adapt and find permanent homes of their own. We are always looking for committed volunteers who can either, foster, help, fundraise or rehome for the Association. If this is you or you just want to follow what is going on then please have a look around the site and get as involved as you can
Foster A Dog

Through our excellent network and great volunteers, we've been able to re-home numerous dogs that otherwise would have been destroyed. We also rely on foster homes to temporarily find solutions for our dogs until a forever home can be found. If you would like to be considered for fostering or re-homing then start the ball rolling here.

Waifs and Strays is a charity that relies on the generosity of so many people. From fosters to carers, workers, fundraisers everyone has something to give. We also need to fund the care of these exceptional animals and having to pay for health care, food, toys, bedding and the like is no small task and relies on financial donations to help our dogs rehabilitate into their forever home. This loving boy is a 9 year old Staffordshire Bullterrier and is ADORABLE!!!
    He is still energetic but is extremely good on the lead and does not pull at all, despite being a stocky boy.
    He is good with other dogs, not yet cat tested
    Old Blue came to us with a skin condition, he is allergic to flea bites and as this had been neglected, his skin was red raw 🙁 but with treatment, this has almost totally cleared up, he just needs his gorgeous blue coat to grow back fully.
    He just loves EVERYONE but takes a particular shine to men
    These photos do not do this very handsome any credit but getting him to sit still for a photograph, when there are people around him to fuss and love, was pretty impossible LOL
    Old Blue is to complete his treatment and will be neutered vaccinated and chipped prior to adoption

    doggybb doggyt DOGGYRR

    She is a small terrier/mixed breed, around 3-4 years old

    This is what her foster mum has written about her;

    Doggy is the most loving and cuddly dog ever. She hates being alone and loves massive walks. She is not good with, cyclist’s, runners, men in trainers, or running children. She gets stressed in town around people and other dogs, so I usually take her up to the Downs and when I’m sure we are completely alone and no cattle around I will let her off her lead and she kicks her little legs up and off as fast as they can go. Apart from that she is adorable. She will obey commands such as come, and stay. She is not a noisy dog and hardly ever barks. She does love big walks but she is good for the odd short walk and being lazy, little girl at home having a Netflix day. She will also curl up in bed, on your lap and love to play ball fetching it back over and over. It will be hard to say goodbye to the little darling

    Not good with cats or small furries

    Poppy would ideally be suited to an active home, with someone home a majority of the time, she would love to be with another dog, who would happily play with her, she adores playing all day
