FAMILY FUN DAY MAY 2019 Saturday 25th May is a save the date day. One of the most popular events in the Seaford calendar is the Waifs and Strays Family and Fun Dog show at the Martello Field. Pegasus Parties and Productions are opening the day and children are being encouraged to dress up as their favorite characters and then join in all the fun of the fair in the main ring. The fun starts at 10am until 4. One of the most popular parts of the show is the fun dog show. Anyone wanting to enter their pooches can register on the day, it is called fun for a reason any dog can enter regardless of pedigree all have a chance of winning. There will be Bungee Trampolines, Owls Out and About, Zorb balls, a fun fair, stalls plus food and drink. Waifs & Strays is a charity that was founded by local animal lover Sue Philips and Liam Hastings 7 years ago after discovering that a lot of stray or abandoned dogs are put down if they were not claimed are a certain amount of time.              The charity relies on volunteers to foster dogs until they find a forever home. Donations are most welcome and people who are looking to give a forever home to a dog.           Blatchington Branch Railway based in Seaford has partnered with the charity and often holds open days as a way to help raise money. This is a really popular day as big kids (parents) and children and can ride upon the miniature train. Come along and have a wonderful day fun filled day whilst also helping Waifs & Strays to keep giving fur babies another chance in life. A very tough decision had to be made and his forever mummy, cradled him in her arms and showered him with love, as the vet administered his final injection Sweet Sherlock is now at peace Our thoughts go out to his loving foster family, who cared for him for months and to his forever mummy Maureen who gave him such a wonderful loving home, in his last months, we know how your hearts are breaking. And a massive thank you, to all his kind and generous sponsors, who made it possible, for this gentle soul, to have the experience of a loving forever home, even though it was for a short time. We are confident Sherlock took his final journey, with a heart full of love and happiness
