This is Sherlock,

Sherlock was found abandoned shortly before Christmas 2014, he was collected by the local dog warden and stayed in the care of the council for 7 days but no one came forward for him and he has been in foster care since Christmas, where he lives with five other dogs, two cats and young children. he is a true gentleman, very good with children, other dogs and cats. He is a very gentle soul and in foster, they hardly know he’s there.

Sherlock is however epileptic, we have been following the guidance of our vet, to stabilise him on medication and he has not suffered a seizure since January. He will be on medication possibly for life, this is not costly. With the medication at the correct dose, Sherlocks seizures should be very few and far between or ‘maybe’ none at all but his new family must be prepared to understand his condition and be confident in dealing with it. Waifs and Strays will help guide you through this and be there for you.

Sherlock shall be neutered, vaccinated and chipped prior to adoption

If you can offer the loving home this gentleman deserves, please e mail us at

Due to a cluster of seizures just this week, Sherlock is under going further tests and a medication increase, more information to follow on receipt of the results
